Owner and operator of Raven Adventure Trips since 1988. Raven offers raft and kayak trips on the Arkansas, Colorado and N. Platte Rivers.

Received 2nd degree black belt in 2003 and his 3rd degree in 2007.

I first became interested in karate as a sophomore in high school. I played football all four years and had to take wrestling in the off-season. Luckily my coaches accepted karate as an alternative. Karate helped give me the skills and confidence to win linebacker of the year for both my junior and senior years.

While attending Arizona State University on the G. I. Bill I started training again in 1978. I studied the style of Shotokan Karate under sensei Shojiro Koyama full time until 1981. In pursuit of my dream as a raft guide I wasn’t able to concentrate on karate again until 1988 and 1989. This is now our 16th season with Raven Rafting and I’ve been training in Tae Kwon Do under Master Bendell since 1997.
