Pueblo West karate student Ashley (front) gets ready to "throw down"

As a line of students look on, two brothers and their sister –

With the crowd looking on, Bendell Karate Master Instructor Joshua Bendell
recoils his leg back after breaking four 1X12X10 pine boards -- with no spacers
between boards -- using a side kick at the recent Blossom Festival. Board
holders Rod (front) and Steve wisely shut their eyes and turn their
heads to avoid any splinters.
