BENDELL KARATE

Stan Sicher, MD
4th Degree Black Belt

Dr. Sicher joined Bendell Karate-Pueblo West as a first degree black belt in 1996. His son Kiel is a Bendell Karate 2nd degree black belt, his son Dakota is also a 2nd degree black belt, and son Riley and  daughter Devan are 1st degree black belts.  Dr. Sicher is a popular and enthusiastic instructor at our Pueblo West school.

In 2003, Master Bendell presented Dr. Sicher and his wife Deidre with the Bendell Karate Award of Courage for a widely publicized incident, where he and his wife rescued a Pueblo woman jogging and attacked by two vicious pit bulls, which were later destroyed. Wearing pajamas and a bathrobe, Dr. Sicher attacked the dogs and sent them flying with a series of well-placed kicks, while Deidre summoned emergency help. They then gave her life-saving first aid until the ambulance arrived.
