Sicher, MD
4th Degree Black BeltDr. Sicher joined Bendell Karate-Pueblo
West as a first degree black belt in 1996. His son Kiel is a Bendell
Karate 2nd degree black belt, his son Dakota is also a 2nd degree black belt,
and son Riley and daughter Devan are 1st degree black belts. Dr. Sicher is a popular and
enthusiastic instructor at our Pueblo West school.
In 2003, Master Bendell presented Dr. Sicher and his wife Deidre with the
Bendell Karate Award of Courage for a widely publicized incident, where he
and his wife rescued a Pueblo woman jogging and attacked by two vicious
pit bulls, which were later destroyed. Wearing pajamas and a bathrobe, Dr.
Sicher attacked the dogs and sent them flying with a series of well-placed
kicks, while Deidre summoned emergency help. They then gave her
life-saving first aid until the ambulance arrived.
