4th Degree Black Belt

Mr. Norman Megilligan started training at Bendell Karate in 2001 when he was only 7 years old.  He earned his 1st Degree Blackbelt in 2005 and was promoted to 4th Degree in April 2015.

 

Mr. Megilligan has trained in Taekwondo, Judo, Jujitsu Aikido and Muay Thai.  He has become very proficient with weapons such as the Bo Staff.  Mr. Megilligan has perfomormed on the Bendell Karate Demo team in front of large audiences with the Bo.  Mr. Megilligan also is experianced in other weapons such as Sword and Nunchaku.

 

Mr. Megilligan is a very active instructor in the school.  He is currently the head instructor of the Mini Ninja program where he will teach 3 and 4 year beginning martial arts principles while also teaching them basic life skills such as listening and respect.  Parents are often impressed by his ability to hold the attention of a class of 13, 3 and 4 year olds.  He doesn't stop at just teaching our youngsters, he also teaches kata classes, kids classes 6 and up as well as adults.
