Southern Colorado's Premier Martial Arts School for over 25 Years

Master Instructor Brent Bendell

6th Degree Black Belt TKD/Karate

Master Brent Bendell became a student of the martial arts at a very young age, learning from his father Grand Master Don Bendell.  Together with his brother Master Josh Bendell the pair opened the first Bendell Karate school in 1991 when they were only teenagers.  They eventually grew Bendell Karate to multiple locations in two different cities.  Master Bendell had a very successful competition career in Martial arts winning, five Colorado state titles.  Master Bendell has also studied Judo, Jujitsu and Muay Thai kickboxing, where he had the opportunity to move to Thailand and train with world class fighters.  Master Bendell also competed in Thailand fighting in the amature and professional ranks.

Master Bendell took a hiatus from the karate schools to pursue his career in the Military.  This endeavor has taken him all over the world where he learned many different skills and experienced a multitude of cultures.  During this time, he was able to continue martial arts and kickboxing by training several different military fight teams.

With the unfortunate passing of his mother Master Shirley Bendell and the retirement of his father Grand Master Don Bendell, Master Brent Bendell once again assumed control and operations of Bendell Karate.  With the continued success of the school in Pueblo West, Master Bendell opened a school in Florence Co, which has grown from a small studio to a thriving gym.  The school now holds a full weight room and has even expanded to introduce MMA classes.
